Our PCN GP Led Gynaecology service delivered by Dr V Holme and Dr J Gatenby and is based at Pennygate Medical Centre in Hindley.
The service provides investigation of and/or treatment for routine gynaecological conditions, including but not limited to:
- Menorrhagia/ Dysmenorrhea/ Period Problems
- Menopausal symptoms
- Vulvo-vaginal symptoms
- Vulvo-vaginal lesions
- Pelvic pain
- Vaginal discharge
- Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
- Urinary incontinence/ prolapse/
- Management of patients presenting with menopause
- Fitting of Mirena coil for the management of heavy menstrual bleeding
The PCN gynaecology service is for routine gynaecology referrals only (any urgent or 2 week referrals will need to be referred though usual routes to secondary care). To be referred into this service please contact your GP surgery.
